Catherine "Katie" (Bowen) Clark

Catherine “Katie” Bowen Clark, Age 82, of Clover, SC, went home on Tuesday, May 30, 2017 after a courageous battle with a brain tumor.

Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 2, 2017 at the Clover A.R.P. Church.  Interment will be in Woodside Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 Thursday night at M. L. Ford & Sons Funeral Home, 209 N. Main St., Clover, SC.

Mrs. Clark was born January 12, 1935 in Cantor, NC to the late Aud and Ruby Clark Bowen.  She was  employed by Homelite Corp. in Gastonia, NC and was a substitute for the lunchrooms for Clover School District. 

She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Frank Clark in 2003. 

Katie loved her church and Church family.  She was a member of the Friendly Bible Class, a former member of the Sallie Enloe Circle, and former teacher for the 2 and 3 year old’s. 

This love was shadowed only by the love of her grandsons.

Survivors are her daughter Peggy Robinson (Randy); the lights of her life Paul Robinson (Carla), Matthew Robinson, Daniel Robinson (Hope); great grandsons Weston and Samuel all of Clover, SC; sisters Shirley Conner (Gerald) of Waynesville, NC, Shirley Scruggs (Carroll) and Carolyn Holland of Kings Mountain, NC; and many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Clover A.R.P. Church Building Fund, 127 Kings Mountain Street, Clover, SC 29710.
