Clifton Henderson Hoover

Clifton Henderson Hoover of Lake Wylie, SC and Charlotte, NC died Saturday July 9, 2016, with family and friends at his residence at the Carriage Club.
Mr. Hoover was born August 27, 2922 in Mecklenburg County, NC to the late Thomas B and Leona Henderson Hoover. He was preceded in death by his sisters Louise Wilson, Mildred Grier and brother Thomas B Hoover, Jr.
Mr. Hoover was a WWII Veteran of the US Army, a member of the River Hills Community Church, Charlotte North Rotary Club, Long Creek Lodge #205 AF&AM, Oasis of the shrine, Scottish Rite Bodies and The Paw Creek American Legion Post.
Mr. Hoover enjoyed a long and colorful career in sales. Those who knew him dearly can attest to his ability of gab and laughter, he always had the last word.
Survivors are his wife Molly A. Hoover, sister Dorothy Hoover, daughter Dianne Wallace of Charlotte, grandsons Chucky and Clifton Thompson, 3 great grandchildren, son Richard Snodgrass of Jacksonville Fla. 5 grand-daughters and 8 great grand children, step children Mark Kreuzweiser of Charlotte, Debbie Kreuzweiser of DE and Britt Moose of Charlotte.
A Celebration of his life will be held at a later date. ML Ford & Sons Funeral Home, Lake Wylie, SC, is serving the family.
