Joyce and I as well as the rest of our family heard of Daves passing yesterday morning while riding with USDESMO at CMP. We are very saddened by this and send our best wishes and prayers to Dave's family. Dave was a friend and customer who touched us is so many positive ways. I will always remember Dave for his kindness, intelligence and passion which he applied to all things I have spoken with him about which extends well beyond our shared interest in motorcycles. My personal deep sadness is tempered in part by the the true honor I feel to have known the great man. Dave, you will be missed but never forgotten.
To your family, we offer our deepest and most sincere condolences. Rick, Joyce, Ken and Todd- Cogent Dynamics.

Hi Frani, Jerry here from Anderson, SC. So very Sad to hear about Dave😪 Met him theu Bill Brandow and rode with him several times on the street and track. First time I met Dave, he trailered his bike over and we rode to the Gap. We rode for @ 8 hrs that day and I will never forget that ride. Nothing special happened, just met and made a special friend. My heart goes out to you as I cannot imagine your loss. So Very Sad and Sorry Frani. I'm so glad to have known Dave if for only but a short time. Jerry Leffel

On behalf of the Mid-Atlantic Ducati Club we extend our condolences to the family and Dave's circle of friends. We talk about the "friend-zone" on the track and while many of us didn't know Dave personally, he was part of our family at the race track and definitely in our friend-zone. We are sadden by his tragic passing and hope there is some solace in knowing he was doing something that he loved.

Fran, I can not tell you how saddened I am to learn of Dave's passing. Dave and I have been colleagues and became fast friends ever since his PA days with Sun Chemical. Enjoyed many lunches and conversations over the years together with Dave, myself, Mike Schmidt and Fred Denny. We lost Fred last October 26th and now Dave has joined him in Heaven. Dave always entertained me with his stories and pictures of racing and motorcycle riding excursions. I am so sorry that Shelia and I did not attend the memorial this past weekend but I was in Florida helping a friend prepare for hurricane Irma. I will certainly miss Dave's smiling face, outgoing personality and stories over the next years. But I am sure to meet he and Fred for lunch again in Heaven one day. Fran, Please if there is anything Shelia and I can do to assist you in any way anytime, please do not hesitate to call on us. God Bless, Gary & Shelia Silvers

Mrs Pisak my heart is heavy with your loss. Dave was a kind man that I always looked forward to seeing at any event I was attending. He was a inspiration of speed and quiet kindness. I can't go to Roebling Road without thinking of him. He will truly be missed by me and a whole bunch of others. Bobby

Frani, my heart goes out to you. We are so terribly sorry to hear about Dave. It seems like we just saw you both yesterday walking by the house. We'd be sitting in the rocking chairs, on the porch. Dazee would be trying to chase the cat,s across the street. And Sully, oh Sully ever since he was a puppy, would be walking Dave. We will miss him. Dave was a great guy. Always with a shy smile, a wave and a quite hello. Please remember your neighbors are here for you. We would be happy to come help you walk the dogs or just chat. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

I am so sorry to hear about Dave's passing. I worked with Dave in Wisconsin and long distance throughout his years at SunChemical in Charlotte. Dave was an talented technician and SunChemical was lucky to have him on our team.
I never tired of hearing motorcycle stories both on and off the track. My heartfelt condolences go out to you Frani. I lost my wife in an accident three years ago. The coming days will be difficult. Surround yourself with friends, family and memories. Don't sweat the small stuff. Let God guide you through these difficult days ahead. Have faith that God has a plan. Dave was loved by so many and he is at peace. I keep you in my prayers.

I will really miss you Dave. I have fond memories of you, me, and Joe Kerrigan in the mornings at SunChemical, complaining about everything .

You and Joe restart the “Grumpy Old Men’s Club”; you two can talk about me until I join you up there – and even afterwards😊

Dave was the consummate rider. He always was up for a ride on the street or the track. While it was not always easy to get people to join, Dave always kept trying to pull the guys together, as long as it didn't mean being late for dinner on Saturday night with Frani. He loved her endlessly. Dave, We will all miss your energy and spirit. God Bless

Dave was both a good colleague and friend to both of us c/o Sun Chemical. We will miss his cheer, conversations, ink knowledge, and insight about...yes....motorcycles. Good for Dave that he was doing what he loved -- riding until the end. See you on the next lap, Dave.

SOOOO UPSETTING!!
Frani and Dave's family! I was with Dave Scott and Jean rooming, eating and riding together most of the summer including the moment of his terrible accident. I was behind him but did not see it happen.
Frani I want you to know we literally ran up the hill as fast as we could to get to Dave....we were turned away by security but we tried to be with him!! We stayed as close as we could...praying and VERY upset. Jean and Scott were able to get a bit closer . Frani....Dave was a mentor for me and Scott and I looked up to him at the highest level. I said to myself there is no way I will ever ride like this guy buy I will try to get better. He was a complete pleasure to be with the last 4 years that I knew Dave. Jean introduced me and we had a nice tight group of friends as you well know. I have had many moments of tears over this and I am still sick and upset. Frani please let us know if we can help with any needs you might have after. We can help you and will do what we know Dave and you would want. You have the full support of us....not words but with true meaning. I will see you Saturday am
