Dewitt Lamar Burdette

Dewitt Lamar Burdette, age 75 of Lake Wylie, SC died April 14, 2017 in Charlotte, NC.

Mr. Burdette was born March 23, 1942 in Greenwood, SC to the late James Edwin and Marion Louise Ellenburg Burdett.

Mr. Burdette was a proud veteran of the US Navy.  During his tour in the Navy from 1959 to 1963, he served on the USS Springfield. He retired from Bryant Electric Supply, Inc. after 47 years of dedicated service. He was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather. His beautiful grandchildren were the light of his life.

Lamar is survived by his wife Mary Morrow Burdette, daughter Bridgette Burdette Robb, (Brad), of Cornelius, NC, Brandon Lamar Burdette, (Sheila), of Charleston, SC, grandchildren: Jordan Lea Burdette, Branson Lamar Burdette, Carter Jackson Burdette, Ethan James Robb, brothers Dennis Wayne Burdett, (Mabel), Charles Kenneth Burdett, (Jean), and several nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be 2:00 pm, Saturday, April 22, 2017 at River Hills Community Church, with Pastor Jason Bryant officiating.  The family will receive friends following the service at the church.
