James (Jay Byrd) Byrd

 James William Byrd, “Jay Byrd” age 83 formerly of Lincoln Rd.,York, SC died January 22, 2016,at St. Andrews Assisted Living Center, Concord, NC. 

Memorial service will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 25, 2016 at First Baptist Church, York,

SC, conducted by the Rev. Gene Pace. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the

service in the Ladies Parlor at the church. 

Mr. Byrd was born April 28, 1932 to the late Austin Elmer and Inez Medlin Byrd. He was a US

Air Force Veteran and a Mason at Philantropic #28 Masonic Lodge, York, SC.   He was the

widower of Peggy Stowe Byrd.

Survivors are his daughters, Pam Byrd of  Concord, NC, Tammy Fisher and husband Schaeffer

of Concord, NC, grandchildren Brice Nastasich, Trey Fisher and Caroline Fisher, brother

Clarence Byrd and wife Becky of Fuquay-Varina, NC
