Joann (Dover) Shipton

Joann Dover Shipton, 69, of 774 Pollys Circle, York, SC, died Friday, November 13, 2015 at Piedmont Medical Center, Rock Hill, SC.

Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, November 16, 2015 at Sanctuary Hills Church of God of Prophecy, 1289 Lincoln Road, York, SC, with the Rev. Olivene Martin and Rev. James Bolin officiating.  Interment will be in Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Sunday at Sanctuary Hills Church of God of Prophecy.

Mrs. Shipton was born November 5, 1946 in York County, SC to the late Charlie Wesley and Blanche Mullinax Dover.   

Survivors are her husband Eddie Shipton; daughters Carol S. Dawkins (Jeff) and Tammy Dover both of York, SC; sisters Geraldine Taylor of York, SC and Dorothy Shuler of Bryson City, NC; brothers Leonard Dover and Dennis Dover both of York SC; grandchildren Jennifer Dawkins Hefner, Jessica Dawkins, Audrey Ramsey, Hannah Ramsey and A.J. Ramsey; and great-grandchildren Damien Hefner and Landon Brown.   

Memorials may be made to the Clover Church of God of Prophecy, 106 Hilltop Lane, Clover, SC 29710
