John S. Pettus, 67, of Clover, SC, passed away Sunday, February 4, 2018 at home.

Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, February 8, 2017 at Greater Life Ministries, 3307 Filbert Hwy., Clover, SC with the Rev. Milton Smith officiating.  Interment will be in Lakeview Memory Gardens.

The family will receive friends 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Church.

Mr. Pettus Was born March 22, 1950 in Charlotte, NC to the late John Wilson and Mary Matthews Pettus.  He was a 1968 graduate of West Mecklenburg High School, Charlotte, NC and a U. S. Army Veteran He employed by A Plus Towing and Garage and attended Greater Life Ministries-Clover Church of God.

He was preceded in death by his father, John Wilson Pettus, mother, Mary Matthews Pettus, loving wife Barbara Adams Pettus and father-in-law Robert Henry Adams.

Survivors are his sister Layne Benton; daughters Gwen Hoggard (Jimmy), Lisa Pettus both of Clover, SC; grandchildren Chris Totherow (Leslie), Erica Gustason (Jamie), Seanna Whitesides (Travis), Johnny Maners; eight great grandchildren; mother-in-law Doris Adams;and several nieces and nephews
