Margaret (Carpenter) Moore

Margaret Carpenter Moore, 91, of Clover, SC passed away Monday, January 1, 2018 at Summit Place, Kings Mountain, NC.

Funeral service will be 11:00 am Thursday, January 4, 2018 at M. L. Ford & Sons Funeral Home, 209 N. Main Street, Clover, SC with the Rev. Barry Allen officiating.  Interment will be in Gaston Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends 1 hour before the service at M. L. Ford & Sons.

Mrs. Moore was born August 17, 1926 in Lincolnton, NC to the late Miles Lee and Alice Jane Ritchie Carpenter.  She was the widow of Harold H. Moore.  Mrs. Moore worked in textile at Homelite and retired from Rauch Inc., Gastonia, NC.  She was a member of Kings Mountain Chapel United Methodist Church, active in United Methodist Women, circle chairperson for many years and was active in the Joy Spreaders Senior group.

She was preceded in death by her sisters, Flossie McArver, Mabel Hogsed, Gladys Carpenter, and brother, James Carpenter.

Mrs. Moore is survived by her son & daughter-in-law Tom & Brenda.
