Margie E. Smart, 82, of Clover, SC passed away Wednesday, February 21, 2018 at Hospice & Community Care, Rock Hill, SC.

Funeral service will be 4:00 pm Saturday, February 24, 2018 at the First Baptist Church with the Rev. Mike Stafford officiating.  Interment will be in Woodside Cemetery.  The family will receive friends 1 hour before the service in the COAC Building.

Miss Smart was born April 29, 1935 in Clover, SC to the late James Reuben and Lola Mae Biggers Smart.  Margie received her nursing degree in Rock Hill and worked for many years at the VA Hospital, Columbia, SC.  After retiring from the VA she moved back to Clover and worked at the Clover Public Library for 20 years.  She loved and enjoyed everyone she met.  She was special to her family, her co-workers, her church family and her dog Homer.

She was preceded in death by sisters, Betty Lou Smart Story and Beulah Mae Smart and brothers, James Lindsey Smart and Sidney Eugene Smart.

Survivors are her nieces Carolyn Franklin (Bobby) and Patty S. Christenberry (Ronnie) both of Clover, SC.
