Mrs. Herring was born November 9, 1934 to the late Joseph C. and Ella Tate Ruff. She was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth K. Keisler, Jr, daughter, Sherry K. Atkinson and sister, Joyce Biamonte. 

Survivors are her daughters, Deanna Jenkins (James) of Clover, SC, Sandra Jenkins (Ronnie) of Lake Wylie, SC; six grandchildren, James T. Sciba (Jennifer), Brian Sciba (Nikki) both of Clover, SC, Lindsey J. Calhoun (Jordan), Kelly Carpenter (Tim) both of Gastonia, NC, Kenny Atkinson (Jaci) of King Mountain, NC, Kim Atkinson of Belmont, NC and 12 great grandchildren.
