Ruth H. Sheets of Lake Wylie, SC died January 20, 2016, at Wayne T. Patrick Hospice House, Rock Hill, SC.

A gathering of family and friends will be from 6 PM to 8 PM Monday, January 25, 2016 at M.L. Ford & Sons

Funeral Home, 4820 Charlotte Hwy., Lake Wylie, SC. 

Ms. Sheets was born May 11, 1952, in Cleveland County, NC to the late Luther and Vinnie Bivens Hoyle.

Ruth was a well-known hairdresser in the Lake Wylie area and Lake Wylie Citizen of the Year in 1998.  She

served as President of Helping Hands of Lake Wylie for many years and worked closely with Agape Hospice to

supply food, clothing, and gifts to hospice patients and their families.

Survivors are her daughter and son-in-law, Angela and Joe Carpenter of Clover; granddaughter, Brandi

Carpenter; sisters, Mildred Chapman and Bessie Neal; and brother, Herman Hoyle.
