Tech Sergeant Thomas Edison Clifford, age 41 died February 7th, 2013 in Ramstein AFB, Germany.
Funeral service with military honors will be 10:00 am Saturday February, 23rd, 2013 at River Hills Community Church, 104 Hamiltons Ferry Road, Lake Wylie, SC, conducted by Pastor Matt McGue. The family will receive friends from 6 pm to 8 pm Friday, February 22ndat M.L Ford & Sons Funeral Home, 4820 Charlotte Hwy, Lake Wylie, SC.
Mr. Clifford was born February 8th, 1971 in Woonsocket, RI to Beverly S. Green and the late Kenneth Richard Clifford.
He is survived by his mother Beverly Schmittel Green of Lake Wylie, SC daughter and son in law Cassandra C. and Aaron Goebel, of Minot, ND, sons Christopher Clifford of Cocoa Beach, FL and Charles Clifford of Cocoa Beach, FL. Brothers, sisters-in-law, and partners Kenneth W. Clifford and Sandy Ducane of Dania Beach, FL. John P. and Teresa Clifford, of Lake Wylie, and twin brother Todd. R and Deana Clifford of Lake Wylie, SC. Uncle and Aunt Kent T. and Kathy Clifford, nieces: Amanda Clifford, Kelsey Clifford, Heather Clifford, nephew Kenneth Clifford and cousin Katie Clifford and her fiancé Josh Davis.
Thomas served in the military since 1995 in the both the Army and the Air Force. He served on many tours of duty including Bosnia, Iraq, Korea, and Qatar. He was promoted several times and was very well respected by his peers and superiors. He will always be thought of as a true American hero.
