Thomas Hillard Hoover

Thomas Hillard Hoover, 75, of Clover, SC died on Thursday, June 15, 2017 at Presbyterian Hospital.  He was born in Rutherfordton, NC on June 7, 1942.  He served in the US Air Force, was a paper carrier for the Charlotte News and retired after 40 years as a printer for The Charlotte Observer. Tom loved trains, old farm equipment and Nascar.

Tom was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas J & Mary Miller Hoover, and his sister, Barbara (Jean) Pressley.  He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Sally Hubbard Hoover; his 3 sons, Ronnie Hoover of Clover, Bobby (LaShunta) Hoover of Santa Rosa, CA, Johnny (Beth) Hoover of Clover, adopted daughter, Margaret Lafaele of American Samoa, 2 stepdaughters, Kathy Williams of Vero Beach, FL and Donna (Jason) Dansby of Charlotte, NC.  Tom is survived by his sisters Pat (Herb) Tesh of Fort Mill, SC and Cathy (Steve) Marrow of Waxhaw, NC.  He is survived by many wonderful grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 21 at 11 a.m. at Lake Wylie Christian Assembly with the Pastor Lewis Gunn officiating.  Interment will follow the service at Forest Lawn West Cemetery in Charlotte, NC.

Family will receive friends on Tuesday evening, June 20 from 6-8 p.m. at M.L. Ford Funeral Home in Lake Wylie
