Warren Dempsey McGinnis

Warren Dempsey "Jack" McGinnis, 94, passed away in his home in Belmont NC on July 3, 2016.

Mr. McGinnis was born April 30, 1922 in Cherryville, NC to the late Charles Ezell and Addie Rolfe McGinnas.  He was retired from Gaston County Government and was an active member of the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Mt Holly NC.   Mr. McGinnis was preceded in death by his wife, 4 brothers and 5 sisters.

Survivors are his 4 children, Mary Elizabeth McGinnis Long of N.C, Sharon Lee McGinnis Woodrow of Indiana, Melody Ann McGinnis Visele of Maryland, and Robert Michael McGinnis Root of California, 12  grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren, and 7 great-great grandchildren.

Friends are invited to a memorial service in celebration of his life, 12:00 noon Friday, July 22, 2016 at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Mt. Holly, NC.

A private family graveside service was held at Woodside Cemetery, Clover S.C.
