Mr. Chandler Eugene Gilleland, 45, of Charlotte, NC, passed away Thursday, April 4, 2024 in Charlotte, NC.

Mr. Gilleland was born December 10, 1978, in Charlotte, NC, to Elmer Eugene “Gene” Gilleland and the late Cynthia Dayle Pless Gilleland. Though Chandler’s life was short lived, his kindness and generosity touched many. He was a happy loving spirit who enjoyed nature in all its beauty. He was an avid wakeboarder, snowboarder, arborist, loved to fish, and adored his family.

He is survived by his father, Elmer Eugene “Gene” Gilleland, his sister Ashley Bolender and husband Jason Bolender of York, SC, his brother Josh Gilleland and wife Elissa Gilleland of Clover, SC, his brother Beau Gilleland and wife Dawn Gilleland of Charleston, SC, and his grandmother Adeline Pless of Rock Hill, SC. He was also a loving Uncle to five nieces; Kaylee Gilleland, Ally Morales, Caroline Gilleland, Bailey Bolender, and Cassidy Bolender, and two nephews; Cole Gilleland and Quinn Gilleland.

The family will receive family and friends on Monday, April 15, 2024, at Steele Creek Presbyterian Church at Pleasant Hill, 15000 York Road, Charlotte, NC in the church fellowship hall one hour before the service, beginning at 10:00 AM. A funeral service will be held directly after at 11:00 AM, with the Reverend Jeff Pinkston officiating. A graveside service will follow at Steele Creek Presbyterian Church Cemetery, 7001 Steele Creek Presbyterian Church Road, Charlotte, NC.
