Mr. Howard Randall “Randy” Robinson, 70, of Clover, SC, passed away Thursday, April 11, 2024, at home.
A memorial service will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 20, 2024, at the Clover A.R.P. Church, 127 Kings Mountain Street, Clover, SC, with the Rev. Mark Miller and Rev. Calvin Draffin officiating. The family will receive friends 1 hour before the service in the Church Fellowship Hall. Interment will be in Woodside Cemetery, Clover, SC.
Mr. Robinson was born October 30, 1953, in Kings Mountain, NC to Ruby Crawford Robinson and the late William Howard Robinson. He was a Nuclear Engineer with Duke Energy for 42 years, retiring in 2016, where he was known as “Howie”. He was a good husband and father, excellent provider, hard worker and outdoorsman in the true sense of the word. Hunting, fishing, camping, watching old westerns, and listening to the Beatles and the Rolling Stones were some of his favorite pastimes. Woodworking and wine making were two of his passions. His philosophy was “if you could read about it in a book, you could teach yourself to do it”. He had a low tolerance for foolishness!
His greatest joy, however, was becoming a father to three beautiful sons and a “Pop” to his grandsons. He had many friends and anxiously awaited his CHS ‘71 class get-togethers. He will be greatly missed and cannot be replaced in our hearts.
Survivors are his wife of 47 years, Peggy Clark Robinson; sons Paul Robinson (Carla), Matthew Robinson, and Daniel Robinson (Hope) all of Clover, SC; grandchildren Weston Robinson, Samuel Robinson, and Elias Robinson; mother Ruby C. Robinson; and brothers Jerry Robinson (Ginger), Chuck Robinson (Deb) and Michael Robinson.
Memorials may be made to the Clover A.R.P. Church, 127 Kings Mountain St., Clover, SC 29710.
