Iris Yvonne Brady, of Charlotte, NC, went to live with Jesus on March 23, 2024, at 1:45pm. She passed peacefully in her sleep.

Yvonne was born on December 6, 1946, in Siler City, NC, to the late James and Jessie Maness Brady Caviness.  She was preceded in death by her sister, Lorraine Wood, and her brothers, Wade Brady, Frank Brady, and Charlie Ray Brady.

She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Jimmie Farrell Brady; her daughter, Rhonda Ellen Brady Yager, Fort Mill, SC; her son, Danny Farrell Brady (Tonia), Lake Wylie, SC; her sisters, Christine Brewer and Jewel Jessup and; her brother, Paul Caviness; her grandchildren, Garrett Brady, Kendall Brady, Danielle Merrick,  Jordan Yager Bryan, Houston Yager, Logan Yager, and Colton Yager; and her great grandchildren, Jaxon Merrick, Stevie Merrick, Makoa Merrick, Judah Yager, Joni Yager, Lylah Yager and Irie Yager.

Yvonne was a devout Christian, letting her light shine before everyone she met. She often struck up conversations with others to tell them about the love of Jesus and to glorify our Lord. She read her Bible and prayed daily for others and for spiritual growth and would frequently share scripture with her family and friends. She was a loving and supportive wife, mother, sister and friend.

Yvonne enjoyed the outdoors, especially the Blue Ridge Mountains where she would often vacation with family and enjoy riding the parkway, picnicking there in the mornings and hiking on her favorite trails. Her remains will be spread there in a private event.

At Yvonne’s request, there will be no funeral or memorial service.

While Yvonne will be sorely missed, we take comfort in knowing that she is with our Lord in Heaven. The family thanks you for your loving prayers and friendship during this difficult time.
