Addie Mae (Clinton) Pack

February 18, 1938 ~ October 27, 2017 (age 79) 79 Years Old

Addie Mae Clinton Pack, 79, of Felton, DE, was peacefully called to eternal life on Friday, October 27, 2017.  She shed her earthly burdens and is now walking with our Lord and Savior.

Born in York Co. SC on February 18, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Rupert J. and Addie Mae Camp Clinton. 

The three most important things in her life were Faith, Family & Friends.  She was a member of Woodside UMC, Woodside, DE where she was a Lay Servant for many years along with Doris Blake. 

Addie was an advocate for National Federation of the Blind, holding many offices in the Delaware Chapter of NFB, and the Central Delaware Chapter of the NFB throughout the years, along with being a member of the Kent County Seekers Group where she held many offices.  She worked for numerous years the Delaware Library for the Blind and Physically Handicapped in Dover, DE and was the recipient of the Brady V. Shahan, Jr. award in 2008.

Addie was also involved in the United Methodist Church as a Lay Servant and United Methodist Women where she held offices in the Conference as Vice President, Dover District as current treasurer, and was a current member of Prospect UMW, Harrington, DE. 

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Hubert W. Pack, Sr., brothers, Jim, Ronnie, and Marvin Clinton, and sister, Betty Moody.

Survivors include sister-in-law Barbara Clinton, Gastonia, NC, nieces and nephews, close cousins, Jo Summy, and Lucette & Michael Bowers. Her adopted family Michele, John, Aric, Anson and Matthew Dryda, Angela and James Kincaid, and Evelyn Hackman, along with special friends too numerous to mention.  

Thank you to all the KGH nursing staff especially the PCU staff for the loving care provide to Addie during this difficult time.

Memorial Service will be held on November 18, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Prospect UMC, Harrington, DE with graveside services at Woodside Cemetery at a later date in Clover, SC.
