Catherine Theresa (Montagna) Mulea

Catherine Theresa Mulea, 73, of Lake Wylie, SC, passed away Thursday, August 17, 2017 at Novant Health, Charlotte, NC.

Funeral Mass will be 11:00 AM, Saturday, August 26, 2017 at All Saints Catholic Church, Lake Wylie, SC.

Entombment will be at Gaston Memorial Park, Gastonia, NC.  The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 8:00 PM, Friday, August 25, 2017 at M.L. Ford & Sons Funeral Home, 4820 Charlotte Hwy., Lake Wylie, SC

Mrs. Mulea was born April 7, 1944 in New York City, NY to the late Carmello and Anna Genualdo Montagna.

She loved vacationing on cruises and stopping at Diamonds International to get more bling.  

Family was most important to her especially her husband of 52 years. A true love story , when Joe donated his kidney in 2004.  

She made it a point to be involved in everything her grandchildren did.  Cathy will be missed by all who loved her.  

Survivors are her husband Joseph Anthony Mulea, Jr.; daughter and son in law Lisa and John Pereira, and two grandchildren Alisha & Justin,  all of Lake Wylie, SC.
