Catherine (Nivens) Templeton

Catherine Nivens Templeton, 94 of York, SC, passed away Thursday, November 2, 2017 at White Oak Manor, York, SC.

Funeral service will be 3:00 p.m. Saturday, November 4, 2017 at Filbert Presbyterian Church, 2066 N. Hwy. 321, York, SC, with the Rev. Wallace Tinsley and Rev. Dave Hall officiating.  Interment will be in Lakeview Memory Gardens.

The family will receive friends 1:30 to 3:00 p.m. at the Church and other times at the home of Susan & Bob Hall, 1690 Filbert Highway, York, SC. 

Mrs. Templeton was born February 8, 1923 in York, SC to the late Columbus Benjamin and Mary Frances Boyd Nivens.  She was the widow of John Donnan Templeton and was a former Vice President of Bank of York, retiring in 1983.

Survivors are her daughters Susan T. Hall (Bob) of York, SC, Cathy T. Cloniger of Clemson, SC; brother Louis Nivens of Keller, TX; grandchildren Kerry C. Nimmons (Josh) of West Union, SC, Cayce C. Dowling (Jimmy) of Due West, SC, Benjamin M. Hall (Heather) of York, SC, Elizabeth Martin (Rob) of Greenville, SC, Samuel Hall (Lindsay) of York, SC, Ruth Anne Melchers (Philip) of Anderson, SC, and Mary McKay (Jonathon) of Monetta, SC; and eleven great grandchildren.
