Mr. Edward Franklin Moore, 87, of Gastonia, NC, passed away Saturday, September 1st at home.

Graveside service will be at 3:00pm Friday, September 7, 2018 at Gaston Memorial Park, Gastonia, NC.

The family will receive friends from 1pm until 2:30pm on Friday at M.L. Ford & Sons Funeral Home, 209 N. Main Street, Clover, SC.

Mr. Moore was born May 2, 1931 in Islip, NY to the late Joseph Franklin and Mildred Alice Hinst Moore.

Mr. Moore was a Marine veteran and a retired engineer in the plastics industry.  He loved his family, the U.S. Marines and being in security at Gaston Pickers.

Survivors are his son Edward Franklin Moore, Jr. (Carmela) of Gastonia, NC; three daughters

Diana M. Dockery (Gene) of Gastonia, NC, Sherry M. Olson (Chris Simi) of McLean, VA, and

Kristi M. Wright (Jim) of Lake Wylie, SC; 11 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
