Mrs. Helen B. Morrison, 87, of Clover, SC, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, September 16, 2018 surrounded by her loving children.

Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, September 20, 2018 at Bethel Baptist Church, 6381 Lake Wylie Rd, Lake Wylie, SC.   Interment will be in Sharon Memorial Park, Charlotte, NC.

The family will receive friends Wednesday night from 6:30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at M. L. Ford & Sons Funeral Home 4820 Charlotte Highway, Lake Wylie, SC.

Helen was born in Charlotte, NC, on December 3, 1930.  Helen graduated from Harding High School in Charlotte in 1949 with her high school sweetheart, Ernest Jr. They married June 2, 1951 and she spent her life as a homemaker caring for her family.  With her husband, she was active in organizations such as the Oasis Shrine and the Royal Order of Jesters.

Helen will be remembered for her undying love for Jesus Christ, her family, and her sweet, modest nature. She loved to spend time with her family and frequently reminded them of The Golden Rule; Do unto others as you would have others do unto you.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Crawford and Cora Baucom, her husband of 64 years, Ernest Morrison Jr, son, Glenn Morrison, and daughter, Sandra Rorie.

She is survived by her son, David Morrison and wife Glenda; daughter Laura Cook; and daughter Carol Potts and husband David. 

Surviving grandchildren include Erica Chapman and husband David; Courtney Ycaza and husband Fernando; Monica Thomas and friend George Arno; Crystal Owens and husband Lee; Jennifer Thomas, and Ryan Potts; great-grandsons, Zachary Baker, Ethan Owens, and Max Ycaza. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

The family would like to thank the staff at Carolinas Medical Center and her primary care doctor, Lorri Ayers, for all their wisdom, care, and support.
