We are so, so sad to learn of Jake's passing. Jay starts sobbing every time he tries to write a message to you. He says he'll always remember Jake's smile and that Jake made him laugh. He's remembering giving Jake his first gun. He's tried to call you, but we don't have a phone number that will work. I know that we cannot even imagine what you are feeling right now, but please know that our hearts are with you and we are praying for you.

My deepest condolences to you and your family on the recent tragic death of your son, Jake. I was very upset when I heard this terrible news. I worked with Jake for several years in Stator Winding at Siemens. Jake, Maurice Barnett, Carl Haggins, and I set a record by putting in 28 coils in a single night (15 coils per night was the target quota). To this day I do not believe this record has ever been broken. I knew he liked to duck and deer hunt, so I invited him to go crow hunting with us one weekend. We shot over 30 crows on that hunt. I believe he enjoyed the crow hunt and he was a very good shot. Jake was a very hard worker and an overall good guy. The world needs more good men like Jake Peterson. Our prayers are with you and your family that you will find the strength and courage to get through this most tragic time of your lives. Jake will always be remembered because the lives of such good men will always live in the hearts and minds of those who had the good fortune to have crossed paths with them.
