Mr. James Douglas Knight, 70, of Clover, SC, passed away Saturday, November 2, 2019 at Piedmont Medical Center, Rock Hill, SC.

Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. Thursday, November 14, 2019 at M. L. Ford & Sons, 209 N. Main St., Clover, SC with the Rev. Ken Lane officiating.  The family will receive friends 1 hour before the service at the funeral home.  Interment will be in Gaston Memorial Park.

Mr. Knight was born August 5, 1949 in Simpsonville, SC to the late James Bradford and Bernice Vaughan Knight.  He loved his NASCAR racing, doing woodworking in building different things and loved to draw pictures.  He was always full of joy and life and was loved by many.  He will always be a part of our life and will surely be missed.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Elaine Knight, brother-in-law, Al Moretz, and a niece Angie Moretz.

Survivors are his sons Michael & Joshua Knight; sisters Joyce Moretz of Lake Placid, FL, Darlene Robinson (Hugh) of Clover, SC, Jane Knight of Gastonia, NC; brother Jerry Knight of Gastonia, NC; nieces Caroline Robinson & Amy Moretz; nephews Pressley Robinson (Summer) & David Moretz; great nephews Eli Robinson & Cooper Robinson; great niece Alexis Alexander.
