James Dennis Marcelli, age 67 of Lake Wylie, SC passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 22, 2019 at Atrium Health, Pineville, NC.  

Jim was born November 1, 1952 in Akron, OH to the late Proveno and Helen Chronister Marcelli.

Jim was a 1970 graduate of Cuyahoga Falls High School, as well as a Montreat College graduate. Jim raised his family in Tallmadge, Ohio before relocating to the Carolinas in 1995.  He married Joan Keller Marcelli June 2, 1973, in Cuyahoga Falls Ohio. He was a technologist in the rubber industry for 45+ years with General Tire/Continental Tire and Momentive Companies and retired in 2017.

Jim truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures; watching baseball, football, playing with all the kids, traveling and cooking. He touched everyone’s lives through laughter and jokes.  He loved making others smile!

Survivors are his wife Joan Keller Marcelli; daughter Jennifer Marcelli Stywall and husband Curtis Stywall of Charlotte, NC; son Jim M. Marcelli and wife Sheri Bridges Marcelli of Lake Wylie, SC; sister Carrie Adkins of Uniontown, Ohio: brothers Tony Marcelli and wife Mary of Arizona, John Marcelli and wife Mary of Fort Mill, SC; and grandchildren Jasmine, Curtis, and Kayla Stywall, Jimmy, Nick, Nate and Katelyn Marcelli.

Family, friends and others whose lives Jim touched are invited to a memorial service held at 11:00 am, Saturday, December 28, 2019, at Good Shephard Church, 13110 Moss Road, Charlotte, NC, to reminisce, grieve, and support each other.
