Jane Hokamp Eckert died peacefully at home in Lake Wylie, SC on May 11, 2018, just weeks after celebrating her 100th birthday with many friends and family.

Jane is survived by her children Susan, Kim, Timothy and Christopher; grandchildren Gregory, Lauren, Paul and Emily; and four great-grandchildren.  She is preceded in death by her husband Philip and sister Lois.  Jane was born and raised in Chicago.  She graduated from the University of Illinois with a degree in English, and was a member of Alpha Xi Delta sorority.  She and Phil raised their family in the Chicago area. In 1980 they retired to River Hills where she enjoyed golf, bridge, women’s club, and her many special friends.  She was a member of All Saints Catholic Church and its choir.

A memorial Mass is scheduled for 10:00 AM on June 2 at All Saints Catholic Church, with a reception to follow.  All are welcome to attend and celebrate Jane’s life.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to The Oratory, 434 Charlotte Avenue, Rock Hill, SC 29734; or to Stowe Gardens, 6500 S.
