Jane (Wageley) Faulkner

Jane Wageley Faulkner of Rock Hill, SC passed away Tuesday, September 12, 2017 at home.

Memorial service will be Friday, September 15th at 4:00 PM at the First A.R.P. Church, 201 East White Street, Rock Hill, SC with Dr. Robert J. Robinson and Dr. J. Barry Dagenhart officiating. 

The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, September 14th at the home of Susan and Wayne Gardner, 1846 Shorewood Drive, Rock Hill, SC.

Mrs. Faulkner was born December 27, 1926 in Keyser, WV to the late Edmund Maywood and Edith Cline Wageley.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Hugh Boyce Faulkner, Jr., a brother, Eddie Wageley and a sister, Billie Kovach.

Jane received a bachelor and master’s degree in education from Winthrop University and she retired from the Rock Hill School District after twenty-five years, teaching at Rosewood and Mount Gallant Elementary Schools.  She was a longtime member of the First Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church in Rock Hill, SC.

Survivors are her three children, Hugh Boyce Faulkner, III, Susan F. Gardner (Wayne) and Robert E. Faulkner; grandchildren, Winn Faulkner Taylor, Samuel Boyce Youngblood (Lindsay), Robert E. Faulkner, Jr. and Jane R. Faulkner; five great grandchildren; sister Wanda Forbes; as well as loving nieces and nephews.

Jane’s family would like to thank the Lewis family; Becky, Irene, Marty and Phyllis; as well as Joy Anderson, Linda Gomez, Andrea Friddle and Michele Jones for all of the love and care they gave Jane during her illness.
