Mrs. Jane Averill MacDonald, 82, of Lake Wylie, SC, passed away Wednesday, August 14, 2019 in Charlotte, NC after a long battle with bladder cancer.

A memorial service will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 20, 2019 at M. L. Ford & Sons Funeral Home, 4820 Charlotte Highway, Lake Wylie, SC with the Rev. Bruce Jones officiating.  The family will receive friends 1 hour before the service.

Mrs. MacDonald was born February 18, 1937 in Mariemont, OH to the late William David and Josephine Haile Averill. Jane lived in the Philadelphia PA suburbs while raising her 3 children. Later, she and her husband Fred moved to Lake Wylie in 1997 where she pursued her passions, including quilting, sewing, knitting and walking with friends.

Survivors are her husband Fred E. MacDonald; daughter Lynne M. Rockwell (Vince) of Abington, PA; sons Craig H. MacDonald (Rosemary) of Paoli, PA and Scott A. MacDonald (Jill) of Downingtown, PA; sister Susan A. Trimble of Tulsa, OK; and four grandchildren Casey, Keegan, Robyn and Callie.
