John Philip Beall, 55, of Lake Wylie, SC, passed away December 15, 2017 surrounded by his family and loved ones. He is survived by his sons, Johnny and Jeffrey, daughter, Kalli, grandson, Declan Thompkins, and former wife, Sandra Beall. He was preceded in death by his father, William Beall, and step-father, Allen Reese.
John was born to parents, Carolyn Reese and William Beall, in Charlotte, NC on May 4, 1962, where he was raised with his five siblings, Mike Beall (Latricia), Betty Bailes (William), James Beall, Gerri Proctor (Tom), and his half-brothers, William Beall (Paula) and Robert Beall. At age 13, John moved to Miami, FL where he graduated from Miami-Killian Senior High School in 1980, then attended the University of Florida. Later, John moved back to Charlotte where he partook in the family business of commercial laundry equipment sales. John enjoyed a career of entrepreneurship in which he sold and serviced commercial laundry equipment and ice machines for schools, churches and sports teams across the southeast.
John was a follower of Jesus Christ and regularly attended Forest Hill Church in Charlotte, NC and Redeeming Grace Presbyterian Church in Lake Wylie, SC. John was a Freemason and the youngest Grand Master of Lodge #676. As a father of three, John enjoyed time in numerous roles including Pop Warner Football Coach, Sunday School Teacher and Cub Scout Leader for Troop 119 in which his two sons later became Eagle Scouts. In the past four years, John (Papa)’s favorite pastime was playing with his grandson, Declan.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, December 20th at Redeeming Grace PCA, 4800 Charlotte Hwy, Lake Wylie, SC 29710 at 12 noon, with visitation beginning at 11 AM.
