Lois Midkiff Faris, age 81, of Matthews St, passed away peacefully Wednesday morning, Oct. 10, 2018 at home. She was the widow of A. Harry Faris and was preceded in death by her son, Tim F. Faris and her brother, Kenneth R. Byrd.  Mrs. Faris was born September 4, 1937 in Mercer County, WV to the late Clara Midkiff Byrd.

Graveside service will be 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2018 at Lakeview Memory Gardens with the Rev. Carl Morton officiating.  The family will receive friends following the service at the cemetery.

Mrs. Faris is survived by her two caregivers, brother, Karl Byrd of Ellenboro, NC and nephew, Richard Byrd of Forest City, NC.  Two sisters-in-law, Joann Byrd of Mooresboro, NC and Catherine Cockman of Clover, SC.
