Max Clinton Freeze, 86, of Clover, SC, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 13, 2019, at the Wayne T. Patrick Hospice House in Rock Hill, SC.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 16, 2019 at M. L. Ford & Sons Funeral Home, 209 N. Main St., Clover, SC. Interment will be in the River Hills Community Cemetery.
The family will receive friends 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday night at M. L. Ford & Sons Funeral Home, Clover.
Max was born in Clover, SC, to the late Hazel and Christine Turner Freeze. He was in the United States Air Force from 1951 until 1955, serving in the Korean conflict. After discharge from the Air Force, he worked for Long Engineering, Duke Power, and Seeburg, while attending classes at Charlotte College, before starting his own electronics and communications business.
Survivors are his wife of nearly 63 years, Marie Morgan Freeze of Clover, SC; daughter Anne F. Bland (Rick) of Rock Hill, SC; daughter Yvonne F. McElwee (David) of Clover, SC; and four grandchildren, Ashley and Katie Bland of Rock Hill, SC, Alex McElwee of York, SC, and Morgan McElwee of Charlotte, NC.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Ted Freeze, and his sister, Dot Hord.
