Philip Francis McCurdy passed away at CMC main on Sept. 19, 2018. 

Philip was born in the Netherlands to parents, Daniel and Antoinette McCurdy. After graduating college, he acquired a job with a German company as a mechanical engineer. The company transferred Philip to Charlotte where he worked for 42 years before retiring from Oerlikon Barmag. Philip enjoyed playing soccer in Charlotte for many years. 

He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Jody McCurdy; children Lisa Leake, Leslie Williams and step son Mark Williams; granddaughter Ashley Leake and great grandson Tyndall Leake; Siblings in the Netherlands, Patricia Teulings and Antoinette Houdidk; brother Dennis McCurdy. 

The family will hold a private service. 

In lieu of flowers donations may be sent to the Mecklenburg County Animal Shelter.
