Samuel Robert Ballard, Jr, 70, of Clover, SC, passed away Friday, March 9, 2018 at home.

A funeral service will be at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 13, 2018 at the Bowling Green First Baptist Church with the Rev. Mitch Bolin officiating.  Interment will be Lakeview Memory Gardens.  The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 pm, Monday, March 12, 2018 at M.L. Ford & Sons Funeral Home, 209 N. Main Street, Clover. 

Mr. Ballard was born August 2, 1947 in Darlington County, SC to the late Samuel Robert and Thelma Sue Hudgins Ballard. He was a veteran for the US Navy and member and deacon at Bowling Green First Baptist Church since 1972.  Mr. Ballard was an iron and millwright worker for Daniels Construction Company for 30 years.

Survivors are his wife Kathy Diane Wilson Ballard; daughter Crystal Wyatt (JR) of Clover; son Tim Ballard (Torrie) of West Union, SC; sister Paula Vallejos (Robbie) of York, SC; brothers Kirk Ballard (Jackie) of Seneca, SC, Roddy Ballard (Debbie) of Rockwell, NC and Bill Ballard of Texas; sister-in-law Tootsie Pennington of Clover; brother-in-law Maxie Wilson of Clover; grandchildren Ethan, Tucker, Taylor; and great grandson Noah.
