Sara (Ergle) Pendleton

Sara Ergle Pendleton, 85, of Clinton Avenue, Clover, passed away at home on Friday, September 8, 2017.

Celebration of Life service will be 2:00 pm on Sunday, September 10, 2017 at First Baptist Church, Clover, SC with the Rev. Dave Stanford officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.  Private family interment will be in St. Paul United Methodist Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Pendleton was born in Aiken County, SC on June 15, 1932 to the late Hollie H. Ergle Sr. and Margaret Jordan Ergle Boatwright.  She was preceded in death by her brother Hollie H. Ergle, Jr.  Mrs. Pendleton was a graduate of Columbia College, taught piano in the York public school system and later taught piano and organ at her home.  She served First Baptist Church as organist for more than 30 years.  Mrs. Pendleton was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother.

Survivors are her husband of 64 years LeRoy Pendleton; daughters: Joy P. Miller (Ted) of Martinez, GA, Lee P. Cain (Kyron) of Clover; sons: G. Franklin Pendleton, II (Pam) of Clover, Andrew Pendleton (Sandra) of Rincon, GA; sister Margaret E. Tenet (Russell) of Eustis, FL; sister-in-law Mary Ergle of Batesburg, SC; grandchildren: George Pendleton, Ginny Pendleton, Clayton Miller, Lauren Miller, Ben Pendleton, Kyler Cain, A.J. Pendleton, Brennan Cain and Callie Pendleton and special friend Kim Clatterburk.
