Shirley Jean Meadows Grimes 71, of Lake Wylie went home peacefully to the Lord on Monday, February 5, 2018 after a long battle with Parkinson’s. She was surrounded by her family.

 Memorial service to celebrate her life will be 3:00 pm Friday, February 9, 2018 at Lake Wylie Christian Assembly, 5766 Charlotte Hwy, South Carolina 29710.  The family will receive friends from 2:30 to 3:00 at the church. 

Mrs. Grimes was born August 12, 1946 in Cincinnati, OH to the late Melvin and Lillie Mae Martin Meadows.

She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Ottis Edward Grimes of Lake Wylie, daughter Jessica Ann Jones (Billy) of Mint Hill, NC and Tabitha Nicole Mendoza Henry (Douglas) of Lake Wylie, SC; grandchildren Justin Lee Jones (Reed), Braxton Alexander Mendoza and Jacob Douglas Henry; great grandson Hunter Anthony Jones.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Lake Wylie Christian Assembly.
