Mr. Alton Andree Burns, 85, of York, SC, passed away Monday, February 5, 2024, at the Wayne T. Patrick Hospice House, Rock Hill, SC.
Memorial service will be 11:30 a.m. Friday, February 9, 2024, at the Bethel Presbyterian Church, 2445 Hwy. 557, Clover, SC with the Rev. Trent Thomas officiating. The family will receive friends one hour before the service, beginning at 10:30 a.m., in the Church Family Life Center. Interment will be private in the Church Cemetery.
Mr. Burns was born December 11, 1938, in Filbert, SC, to the late William Watson and Mary Watson Hogue Burns. He was preceded in death by this sisters and brothers, Jean Burns Horton, William Lee Burns, Dorothy Yvonne Burns Trusdale, and Roger Desmond Burns. He was a past member of the National Guard and retired from Rock Hill Printing & Finishing.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Barbara Childers Burns, his daughter, Suzanne Burns (Frank McGonagill) of York, SC, and grandson John McGonagill.
