Mrs. Anita Louise Valero Ortiz, 78, of Charlotte, NC passed away Thursday, July 16,2020 at Atrium Healthcare, Pineville, NC.

The family will receive friends 6pm to 8pm Tuesday, July 21, 2020 at M.L. Ford & Sons Funeral Home, 4820 Charlotte Hwy., Lake Wylie, SC.

Mrs. Ortiz was born September 5, 1941 in Fairmont, WV to the late Luis and Lena Battencourt Valero.  She had served in the US Army and retired from customer service in the airline industry.

Survivors are her husband Manuel Ortiz of Charlotte; 2 sons, Anthony Ortiz of Charlotte, NC and Francisco Ortiz and wife Victoria Piccirilli-Ortiz of York, SC; 3 brothers, Louie and Jack Valero of MI and Amador Valero of Clarksburg, WV; 5 grandchildren, Jada and Francisco of TX, Anthony Manuel, II of KY, and Gabriella and Nicolos of York, SC.
