Mrs. Ann Bost Ferguson, 92, of Gastonia, North Carolina, passed from this world and into the presence of her Savior on May 7, 2025.
Ann was born on January 1, 1933, in Gaston County, North Carolina, the only child of Lonnie L. and Ruth Simmons Bost. She was raised in York County, South Carolina, graduated from York High School and attended Winthrop College. In 1952, Ann married her husband of 69 years, Charles F. Ferguson.
Ann worked in the school system and later as a librarian in Gaston County. She was an active member of Crowder’s Creek ARP Church. After retirement, Ann joined Community Bible Study, where she formed deep friendships and grew abundantly in her faith.
Ann lived a life of service to others, caring for people’s physical needs, sharing a delicious meal or offering encouragement. She cherished her family with steadfast devotion. Her labors of love overflowed from a deeply rooted faith in Jesus Christ. She truly lived to bring glory to Him.
Ann is survived by her children: Charles F. “Chuck” Ferguson, Jr. (Robin) and Lisa F. Gamache. Survivors also include her grandchildren, Zachary Ferguson (Maegan) and Whitney Barefoot (Jason), and great-grandchildren: Kipper and Keller Ferguson, and Hudson, Charlie, Finley Anne and Henry Barefoot.
Ann was preceded in death by both of her parents, her husband, and grandson, Shane Ferguson.
The family will receive friends at Crowders Creek A.R.P. Church, 207 Crowders Creek Road, Gastonia, NC on Monday, May 12, 2025 from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. A funeral service at 11:00 a.m. will be followed by internment in the church cemetery.
