Anthony “Tony” Cubeta, 92, of Charlotte passed on April 21st, 2021 at home. He was born in the Bronx, New York, son of Anna and Salvatore Cubeta. He was a member of the Nassau County Police Fleet Service Department. For 15 years he was Fleet Service Supervisor overseeing over 50 mechanics. Tony qualified as an expert investigator and witness for vehicle accidents for many years.
Tony was an avid guitar player and teacher of many. He passed along his love of music to his children. He was a devoted husband to his late wife Peggy, who passed in 2002, for 54 years.
Tony was a member of the All-Saints Catholic Church of Wylie, SC. He was a extraordinary minister and a member of the Bereavement Committee; he was the former President of the All Saints Men’s club which raised money for the church. He was also a 4th Degree Knight for local Knights of Columbus Chapter.
Tony is survived by his sons Rich, wife Maureen of Houston, Texas; Gene, wife Laraine of West Caldwell, New Jersey; and Larry, wife Anne of Athens, New York.
He is survived by his grandchildren Mike and wife Kelli, Andy and wife Kelly, Chris and wife Jess, Scott and wife Cher, Matt and wife Jenn, Katelyn, Samantha and husband Mike.
He will miss his wonderful 14 great grandchildren; Molly, Lucy, Jack, Alexandra, Scarlett, Christopher, Violet, Mia, Chase, Mackenzie, Sheamus, Padrig, Elizabeth and Taylor.
He is survived by his wonderful sister-in-law Marilyn Monahan of Florida.
The family would like to thank his caregivers Madalyn and JB Pazicni and Rosemary and Brendan Caputo for the past few years and his long-time caregiver Pat Clarke. We would also like to thank his wonderful, supportive neighbors Nicky and Scott Toney and Ray Knapp.
A Funeral Mass will be 1:00 pm, Tuesday, May 18, 2021 at All Saints Catholic Church, 530 SC-274, Clover, SC, 29710.
