Mr. Archie Mel Smith, 68, of York, South Carolina, passed away Friday, January 23, 2026, at the Wayne T. Patrick Hospice House, Rock Hill, SC.

Mr. Smith was born November 14, 1957, in Albuquerque, NM, to the late Archie Smith and Betty Mel Wallace Cox.

He is survived by his brothers, Steve Smith, York, SC, and Rick Smith, Scottsdale, AZ, and his nephew, Daniel Smith (Kassie), Clover, SC.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, January 30, 2026, at First United Methodist Church, 124 Bethel Street, Clover, SC with the Rev. Scott Gilmer and Rev. Tommy Wilkes officiating.  Interment will be in Woodside Cemetery, Cemetery Street, Clover, SC, following the service.  Visitation will be one hour before the service beginning at 1:00 p.m.
