Mrs. Belela “Sissy” Mae Burton Nichols, 68, of Clover, SC, passed away Wednesday, September 4, 2024 at home.

Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, September 9, 2024 at M. L. Ford & Sons, 209 N Main St., Clover, SC with the Rev. Gary Conrad officiating.  Interment will be in Lakeview Memory Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Sunday at M. L. Ford & Sons Funeral Home, Clover, SC.

Mrs. Nichols was born December 8, 1955 in York, SC to the late Lewis Haye and Pauline Painter Burton.  She was the widow of James Robert “Buck” Nichols.

Survivors are her daughter Sandra Humphries (Tony) of Gastonia, NC; sons David Nichols and Mark Nichols both of Clover, SC; sisters Lena House (Monty) and Linda Banks (Marshall) both of Clover, SC; brothers Clifford Burton (Kathy), Walter Burton (Debbie), Larry Burton (Laketa) , Bobby Burton (Kathy) all of Clover, SC and Marshall Burton (Debra) of York, SC; grandchildren Lynn Biddix (Greg) and Jessica Bright; great grandchildren Katelynn & Emily Biddix and Tony Bright all from Gastonia; nieces  Amanda Burton and Alicia House from Clover, SC; and nephew Steven Burton of Gastonia, NC and Jason Burton of Clover, SC.

She was also preceded in death by a brother, J. D. Burton.
