Obituary

Mr. Bennett “Ben” Richard Devine, 82 of Clover, SC, passed away Thursday, April 27, 2023 at home.

Come celebrate with the family on Thursday, May 4, 2023 from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the Larne Building, 103 N. Main St., Clover, SC.  The family request that you please do not wear black and dress casual.

Mr. Devine was born October 25, 1940 in Cherryville, NC to the late Heman Baine and Pauline Hallman Devine.  He was a member of the Clover First United Methodist Church and a member of Masonic Lodge 111 in Rock Hill, SC.

Survivors are his wife of 49 years Kathy Devine; daughter Julie Denton (Danny) of Gastonia, NC; sons Eric Devine (Mara) of Gastonia, NC and Scott Devine (Sandi) of Rock Hill, SC; grandchildren Dilan Devine (Tatum), Nolan Devine, Marlee Devine, Brandon Devine (Ashley) and Jordan Hyatt (Danny); great grandchildren Emma Devine, Maison Devine, and Paytin Devine; and a special double first cousin Dennis Devine.

Memorials may be made to Clover First United Methodist Church, 124 Bethel Street, Clover, SC 29710 or Humane Society of York Co., 8177 Regent Pkwy., Fort Mill, SC 29715.
