Mrs. Betty Marie Williams Stewart, 95, of Lake Wylie, SC, passed away peacefully Tuesday, August 22, 2023, at home. In the final days of her full life, she was surrounded by her loving family.

Mrs. Stewart, the most loving and outstanding wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, was born March 25, 1928, in Edison, OH, to the late Othel F. “Rollin” Williams and Orelda May Wilson Williams.  She was also preceded in death by her sisters, Edith, Alma, and Stella, and her brother, Delbert.

She is survived by her daughter, Lisabeth Anne Stewart (Richard Pung), Lake Wylie, SC; her sons, William Prosper Stewart, III, Grand Junction, MI, and Thomas Scott Stewart, Grand Junction, MI; and her grandchildren, Evan Stewart, Erin Stewart, and Adam Stewart.

Upon graduating from White Cross Hospital School of Nursing, Columbus, Ohio, in 1949, Mrs. Stewart went on to serve her communities as a devoted and caring nurse. She met the love of her life, Mr. William Prosper Stewart, Jr. in 1952, and they spent 46 joyful years of marriage together before Mr. Stewart passed away.

A woman of true integrity and faith, Mrs. Stewart contributed infinitely to the lives of her loved ones. She was a warm, kind woman, who made close friendships in all places she lived and visited. She will be missed greatly, but her family takes comfort in knowing she has joined Mr. Stewart in Heaven.

A celebration of her life will be held at a later date in Michigan.
