Mr. Billy Meek Adams, 89, of Clover, SC, passed away Monday, April 12, 2021 at home where the yard he loved and cared for over 50 years was in full bloom.

A lifelong member, Sunday School teacher, and elder of the Clover Presbyterian Church, Mr. Adams lived his faith by loving his family, his church, and his community well through acts of loving kindness.    

He was the widower of Felicity Ann Mudd Adams and Peggy Jean Cauble Adams.  He loved hosting family gatherings, dancing, and laughing with his wives, taught his children to love God and neighbor through his example, enjoyed travelling together with his siblings and his face lit up with joy anytime he was with his grandchildren.  He served his church locally and joined in service with the church globally in Mexico, Guatemala, and China on medical mission delegations.  He was an eagle scout, Navy veteran, and Scout master.  He was a respected pharmacist for 48 years and often made home deliveries and opened late at night for emergencies.     

Funeral service will be 3:00 p.m. Friday, April 16, 2021 at the Clover Presbyterian Church, 202 Kings Mountain St., Clover, SC with the Rev. Sam Roberson and Rev. Mark Adams officiating.  Interment will be in Woodside Cemetery.  The family will receive friends 1 hour before the service in the Fellowship Hall.

Mr. Adams was born January 15, 1932 in York County, SC to the late William Meek and Sara Eunice Barry Adams.  He was also preceded in death by a brother, George Adams, and sisters, Mary Merck and Sara Bolin.

Survivors are his children, David William Adams (Sherry) of Clover, SC, Carl Derrick Adams (Mary) of Clover, SC, Mark Stephen Adams (Miriam) of Agua Prieta, Mexico; Gina Powell Bolin (Gerald) of Gastonia, NC, and William Alvin Powell (Denny) of Lake Wylie, SC; grandchildren, Zach, Stephen, Cindy, Anna Flor, Felicity, Nathan, and Chloe; and sisters, JoAnn Rockenstein (Richard) of Kingsport, TN and Susie Ferguson of Rock Hill, SC.

Special thanks to Michael Phair for the loving care, friendship and adventures he provided Mr. Adams in the final years of his life.
