Mr. Billy Howard Cobb, 74, of Charlotte, NC, passed away peacefully Tuesday, March 3, 2020 at Carrington Place, Matthews, NC with his daughter by his side.

A memorial service will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, March 14, 2020 at M. L. Ford & Sons Funeral Home, 209 N. Main St., Clover, SC.  The family will receive friends following the service.

Mr. Cobb was born August 31, 1945 in York County, SC to the late Robert Melvin Cobb and Mary Mobley Bradley.  He retired from security and was preceded in death by his wife, Faye Brummitt Cobb and son, Chuck McCarter.

Billy was a big Elvis fan and enjoyed music.  He would have a cold beer, a cigarette and sing good old country songs.  Billy loved his late wife Faye, his children, and grandchildren.

Survivors are his daughters Cynthia McCarter (Sam Burch) of Pineville, NC and Cheryl R. Wood of Dover, NH; son David W. Cobb of Rochester, NH; grandchildren James Jones (Lindsay Mayes), Renee Leary (Daniel), Cody McCarter; and great grandson Danie Lee Leary.
