Mr. Billy Camp Wallace, 89, of Chapin, SC, passed away Thursday, June 6, 2024 at Lexington Medical Center, Columbia, SC.
Graveside service will be 6:00 p.m. Sunday, June 9, 2024 at Woodside Cemetery, Clover, SC with the Rev. Dr. Mike Moses officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.
Mr. Wallace was born June 13, 1934 in Clover, SC to the late Robert Lester and Lula Ann Camp Wallace. He was the widow of Elizabeth “Libby” Wallace and was a U. S. Army Korea War Veteran.
Bill lived in Columbia, Rock Hill, Greenville, Elon College, NC, Altavista, VA and Greensboro NC before moving to Chapin, SC. He retired from Burlington Industries after working nearly 40 years. Bill was a long-time member of Christ United Methodist Church in Greensboro, NC, was the Godfather of the Ballentine Old Men Gone Wild Club, was a devoted Gamecock fan and an avid golfer. He also enjoyed his daily Scotch.
Survivors are his daughters Lezlie Patterson (Gary) and Lori Register (Jim); grandsons Grey Register (Rebecca), Adam Patterson (Hannah) and Eric Patterson; granddaughters Katie Register Hartman (Wade) and Abby Register Richardson (Riley); great grandchildren Luke and Jack Register, Ellie, Harper and Wallace “Ace” Patterson, Briggs and Beckett Hartman; and many nieces and nephews.
