Mrs. Bobbie Jean McDowell Joye, 86, of Clover, SC, passed away Sunday, April 5, 2026 at White Oak Manor, York, SC.

Mrs. Joye was born July 28, 1939 in York, SC to the late Floyd and Viola Wright McDowell. 

Including her parents, Bobbie was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Perry Joye, a sister, Catherine McAllister, and brothers, Dewey McDowell, Charles McDowell, and Billy McDowell.  

Survivors are her daughters, Sally Joye of Belmont, NC and Lori Joye of Charlotte, NC; sons Daniel Joye (Sally) and Shane Joye (April) both of Clover, SC; siblings Robert McDowell, Betty Armstrong, Mary Lee Kennington, Roberta Williams, and Richard McDowell (Barbara); grandchildren Joshuah Serepca, Noah Serepca, Kayla Serepca, Matthew Joye, and Madison Joye.

Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, April 9, 2026 at M. L. Ford & Sons Funeral Home, 209 N. Main St., Clover, SC with the Rev. Dave Stanford officiating.   The family will receive friends 1 hour before the service at the Funeral Home.  Interment will be in Lakeview Memory Gardens, York, SC.
