Mrs. Brenda Elaine Dixon Davis, 85, of Monks Corner, SC, passed away Friday, July 31, 2026 at Roper Hospital, Charleston, SC.

Brenda was born August 31, 1940 in Clover, SC to the late George Hood Dixon and Blanche McCarter Dixon.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Sam Davis.

Survivors are her sister, Janelle Dixon; brother Roger Dixon (Linda); and three nieces.

Brenda graduated from Clover High School, Winthrop (College) University and with a Masters in Geography from the University of South Carolina.

She began her tenure as a teacher at Buford High School, Lancaster, SC followed by years at Allendale (SC) Junior High, USC Allendale and Berkeley County Schools (Berkely High School). She also worked as an adjunct instructor at Trident Community College and Charleston Southern University.

Brenda was a member of the First Presbyterian Church Moncks Corner, a member of the Lowcountry Daylily Club and was a past secretary and member of the Town and Village Garden Club. She loved working with her flowers at home and caring for her cats.

Brenda’s family expresses their deepest appreciation and love to her dear friends, Anne & Gerald Graham for their 40+ years of friendship and care!  Also extend our special thanks to all who assisted Brenda with travel over the last several years.

A graveside service will be 12:00 p.m.  Wednesday, August 5, 2026 at Oakdale Presbyterian Church Cemetery, 12585 W. Highway 55, Clover, SC with the Rev. Den Parker officiating. 

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First Presbyterian Church Moncks Corner, 419 West Main Street, Moncks Corner, SC 29461.
