Carl Lee McJunkins, Sr., age 91, of Lake Wylie, SC, passed away peacefully at CaroMont Regional Medical Center Thursday, June 10, 2021.

A funeral service will be 3:00 p.m. Sunday, June 13, 2021, at Bethel Baptist Church, 6381 Lake Wylie, Road, Lake Wylie, SC, with the Rev. Steve Kirby officiating.  Interment will be at Bethel Presbyterian Church, 2445 Hwy. 557, Clover, SC.

Mr. McJunkins was born on June 16, 1929, in Belmont, North Carolina, to the late Joseph and Florine W. Featherstone McJunkins.  He was also preceded in death by his wife, Helen Brandon McJunkins.

He is survived by his daughter Susan McJunkins Hoover of Lake Wylie, SC; grandchildren, Ryan Hoover (Cassidy) of Ft. Benning, GA, Coty Hoover (Rebecca) of Columbia SC, Taylor Hoover (Haley) of Lake Wylie, SC, and McKenna Hoover of Lake Wylie, SC; and great grandchildren, Haven, Hadlee, and Hayla Hoover.
