Mr. Carl H. Ramsey, Sr., 89, of York, South Carolina, passed away surrounded by his family, on Monday, January 27, 2025, at his home.

Mr. Ramsey was born on December 10, 1935, in York, South Carolina, to the late Joseph Henry and Blanche Montgomery Ramsey.  He as preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Wilma Louise Hawkins Ramsey, and his sisters, Thelma Ramsey Sipe, Margaret Ramsey Burns, Lula Ramsey Elliott, and Ruth Ramsey Childress.

He is survived by his sons, Carl “Chuck” H. Ramsey, Jr. (Kelly) of York, SC and Carlton Scott Ramsey (Nataliya) of Mooresville, NC; his grandchildren, Brittany Ramsey Scully (Ron) of Clover, SC, Taylor Brooke Ramsey of York, SC, and Gracen Hope Ramsey Horn of Chester, SC; his great granddaughter, Annaliyah Grace Scully; and his brother William Franklin Ramsey (Margaret).

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, January 30, 2025, in Lakeview Memory Gardens, 1717 Filbert Hwy., York, SC.  The funeral home will be open from 9:00 to 5:00 for those that would like to stop by and sign the register book.
